Upper Front Teeth Protrusion
This type of bite is characterized by the upper teeth extending too far forward or the lower teeth not extending far enough forward. Both the appearance and function of your teeth are impacted.
In this bite, the upper front teeth extend over the lower front teeth and may even cause the lower front teeth to bite into the roof of your mouth.
With a crossbite, the upper teeth sit inside the lower teeth which may cause tooth stratification and misaligned jaw growth.
The upper and lower front teeth do not overlap properly with an open bite and the ability to chew properly is impacted. An open bite may cause a number of unwanted habits including tongue thrusting.
This common condition occurs when your teeth do not have sufficient room to erupt from your gums. Crowding is often corrected by expansion and tooth removal can be avoided in many cases.
Often caused by missing teeth, spacing may only be a cosmetic issue.
Dental Midlines Do Not Match
This type of problem is caused when the center line of your upper teeth does not match the center line of your lower teeth. This may have a negative impact on your jaw and proper dental function.
